About MKUSSSA

Building bridges and creating opportunities for South Sudanese students.

Our Story

MKUSSSA - Nairobi Campus was established in 2021 with a simple yet powerful vision: to foster South Sudanese unity on campus. Recognizing the need for a dedicated space where students could connect, share culture, and support one another, a group of passionate South Sudanese students established this campus chapter. In 2023, MKUSSSA was officially registered as a recognized student organization by Mount Kenya University, solidifying our commitment to serving the South Sudanese student community here at the Nairobi Campus.

Everything we do is guided by our core values: unity, inclusivity, academic excellence, good governance, integrity, and transparency. We believe in creating a space where every member is heard, valued, and empowered to succeed.

Our Mission

To strive for social cohesion, cultural diversity, good governance, and academic excellence for the betterment of our members and society.

Our Vision

To empower our members and promote peace, good leadership, skills, unity, and social development across the university community.
